(May 20, 20:13) schlumpf: The point is: Everything is out there. People are just too lazy to search. Which is why I refuse on writing tutorials.
(May 20, 20:13) Soldan: Ok, np :P Thanks anyway ^^
(May 20, 20:12) schlumpf: I don't know how they changed either. And I currently don't really want to find out.
 (May 20, 20:11) Soldan: xD
 (May 20, 20:11) Soldan: Understood.
 (May 20, 20:11) schlumpf: Nope.
(May 20, 20:09) Soldan: What if I start it from scratch again, do what I normally do to get the "non particle" m2s working, and send you it, if you have time to take a look? :P
(May 20, 20:08) schlumpf: Seems like some position of an animation block moved.
(May 20, 20:08) Soldan: I'm not sure if I'm messing up the m2 totally, or actually getting somewhere
(May 20, 20:08) schlumpf: Well, the pointer to that block is no pointer then.
 (May 20, 20:08) Soldan: I guess I didn't set all of them 0...
(May 20, 20:08) Soldan: *ERROR Line 592: Template passed end of file at variable 'nValues'.
(May 20, 20:08) Soldan: What I did, I was playing around with the Struct Particle, and started setting Timestamps to 0, and then the error changed
(May 20, 20:07) schlumpf: stoneharry: Seems like you should improve the tool to only create data for stuff actually changed..
(May 20, 20:06) schlumpf: Soldan: Because the data is not fitting in the struct. It will also tell you which field is bad. The format for particles just changed.
(May 20, 19:58) Steff: Yes looks good?
(May 20, 19:57) stoneharry: Need to regenerate movement map data because of model edit changes... Not looking forward to it, last time it took 8 hours. :(
 (May 20, 19:50) fellfoxen2: Pretty damn boss
(May 20, 19:49) fellfoxen2: That looks pretty boss stoneharry
(May 20, 19:46) Soldan: Do you have any idea? When I apply the template (doing all the other steps) it makes "Struct Particle" appear and errors the template...
 (May 20, 19:45) Soldan: Schlumpf
(May 20, 18:53) Soldan: Anyone have any idea how to port cata model with particles to 3.3.5? I have managed models without particles, such as the scorpion mount...
(May 20, 18:25) Jøk3r: Can I make the mop m2's show in modelviewer?
 (May 20, 18:10) fellfoxen2: even after I uninstalled VS11*
(May 20, 18:10) fellfoxen2: I've completely fucked my Visual Studio >.> I swear it still has VS11 components installed even after I uninstalled them
(May 20, 17:56) schlumpf: Oh, and btw: http://xn--hgi.ws/modcraft.
(May 20, 17:51) schlumpf: Tell me one reason it would not be?
(May 20, 17:48) Eluo: lol it actually is :D
 (May 20, 17:46) schlumpfhttp://www.google.com.eg/
(May 20, 17:46) schlumpf: Of course it is. Oo
(May 20, 17:45) Eluo: what i am asking myself when i saw the russian google: Is the arabic version of google from right to left? xD
 (May 20, 17:45) schlumpf: ->> .xn--p1ai
 (May 20, 17:44) schlumpf: http://➡.ws/modcraft
(May 20, 17:43) Vel: first link
(May 20, 17:42) schlumpf: (Except for phpBB not parsing those characters as URL. :D)
 (May 20, 17:42) schlumpf: I mean.. http://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/위키백과%3a대문. That's a valid URL. So what?
 (May 20, 17:42) Vel:)
(May 20, 17:41) schlumpf: Of course, no american would ever visit a page of some german restaurant.
(May 20, 17:41) schlumpf: Unicode urls are available elsewhere as well.
(May 20, 17:41) Vel: Go to this address is likely to be only the Cyrillic users
 (May 20, 17:40) Vel: http://кто.рф/
(May 20, 17:40) Vel: for example we have special cyrillic domain "RF" - "РФ"
(May 20, 17:40) schlumpf: That bug exists since ever and I last told them how to fix it 2009 and early 2011.
(May 20, 17:40) schlumpf: I just randomly seen in the Maruum bug tracker, that Steff reported disconnects when being on a custom map and creating a group.
 (May 20, 17:39) stoneharry: QFT.
(May 20, 17:39) schlumpf: You go there, describing a bug and how to fix it and they tell you to fuck off or don't reply at all.
(May 20, 17:39) Vel: "runet" is a conventional concept. Of course, this international internet
(May 20, 17:39) schlumpf: Stoneharry: I actually never had any intellectual discussion on emulation sites.
(May 20, 17:38) stoneharry: I like how the modcraft community is 1000x smaller than other emu sites, but it is still a lot more entertaining and more intellectual discussions.
(May 20, 17:37) schlumpf: There are no segments on the internet..
 (May 20, 17:37) fellfoxen2: It is after all a 12+ game
(May 20, 17:37) Vel: "runet" is a Cyrillic segment of the Internet
(May 20, 17:37) fellfoxen2: The majority of Wow players like it when they can hit for bear leet. There are few who understand the importance of balance etc
 (May 20, 17:36) Vel: maybe
(May 20, 17:35) schlumpf: Vel: Still, there is no ENnet.
(May 20, 17:35) Vel: as well as the mentality of "passion for freeloading"
(May 20, 17:34) Vel: when there sovuet union, all were forced to learn Russian. more than 20 years Ussr does not exist, but in all former republics of the russian is very common. Therefore, the audience of the Russian language is very large (Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, etc. ..)
(May 20, 17:34) stoneharry: Look at retail, blizzard wanted to do a number crunch so your not doing 100,000,000 damage and 6000 stats per item, but the community refused it.
(May 20, 17:34) stoneharry: At least, that's what state it was when I was hired to go there
(May 20, 17:34) fellfoxen2: I guess they become popular because kids can get uber l33t armor and weapons and OMFG IMBA LVL 255 easily.
(May 20, 17:34) stoneharry: wow-beez = 10,000 players online and still using a emulator that crashes every few minutes, with the sort of Lua scripts you would see on ac-web. dafuq.
(May 20, 17:33) stoneharry: Well, all the top servers on the xtremetop100 are and always have been a joke. I have no idea how they even became popular.
(May 20, 17:33) schlumpf: (On a side note: Why do russians keep referring to "runet"? There is no special russian internet..)
 (May 20, 17:33) Vel: yeah
 (May 20, 17:33) Vel:D
(May 20, 17:32) schlumpf: To be honest, at least from the web sites, they look as shitty as international servers.
(May 20, 17:30) Ascathos: I second that, schlumpf.
(May 20, 17:30) Vel: yes, no have idea
 (May 20, 17:30) stoneharry: -V-
(May 20, 17:29) schlumpf: Those numbers are just impressive. I have no idea how they achieve that.
(May 20, 17:28) Velhttp://uwow.biz/ now 13.3k online (another Russian private server)
(May 20, 17:26) Shadowjesper1: Vel, I indeed do like your work.
(May 20, 17:24) fellfoxen2: How many players does Molten-Wow have?
(May 20, 17:23) stoneharry: I used to work on wowbeez which was number ~3-4 on xtremetop100 and only 10k online.
(May 20, 17:22) Vel: in eu have private servers greater than 20k players online?
(May 20, 17:21) Vel: and I am not sure that we have got to adapt Otherlands for eu
(May 20, 17:20) Vel: I am Russian and I do not know the players from Europe/ America
(May 20, 17:20) Vel: In order for custom expansion was successful - you need to know the specifics of the audience.
(May 20, 17:19) fellfoxen2: Makes me wonder if Steff should make a RU version for Maruum
(May 20, 17:19) Vel: We are all interested in the process of creating, and not what money we can get for it.
(May 20, 17:19) fellfoxen2: I'd join if there was an English version :/
(May 20, 17:18) Vel: And even if Otherlands will not be completed. It will not be tragic
(May 20, 17:17) Vel: WoW model editing is always in the first enthusiasm. And then the money.
(May 20, 17:17) Vel: I'm not sure what Otherlands get more than 3k online. And indeed there is no guarantee that the Otherlands will be completed.
(May 20, 17:17) stoneharry: The public version is way out of date and buggy. :P
(May 20, 17:15) fellfoxen2: Btw stoneharry - I played on Chaotic United and I love it. Good work :D
 (May 20, 17:15) fellfoxen2: dat*
 (May 20, 17:15) fellfoxen2: True day
(May 20, 17:14) fellfoxen2: That sentence was more gist than actual sense
(May 20, 17:14) Vel: WoW is a game for "addicts." And people are willing to pay for it. Even on a private server.
 (May 20, 17:14) fellfoxen2: Even though there isn't really a market :/
(May 20, 17:14) fellfoxen2: ..so Runet has dominated the market? xD
(May 20, 17:13) stoneharry: I don't even profit from donations on my gaming network. =/ ~100 players online 24/7
(May 20, 17:12) Vel: but zim4ik received a small fraction, about 125 euro
 (May 20, 17:12) stoneharry: mmm
 (May 20, 17:12) fellfoxen2: Wow
 (May 20, 17:11) Vel: Zim4ik made a patch for scourge.su, monthly donate - about 3.7k euro
(May 20, 17:10) Vel: custom private servers bring big money. Development of new patches can be the main job. Your salary - profits from donate
 (May 20, 17:07) fellfoxen2: That's... beautiful < , > __ < , >
 (May 20, 17:06) fellfoxen2: ...wow
(May 20, 17:05) Vel: from donate every month 15k euro
 (May 20, 17:04) Vel: for example http://wowcircle.ru/ - now 43k online
(May 20, 17:04) stoneharry: It is always the Russian servers that actually do decent stuff. Like DoTAWoW.
(May 20, 17:03) Vel: now in russian private servers played about 250-450 thousand peoples
(May 20, 17:02) Vel: Most of my developments, I suffered from wargate to otherlands
(May 20, 17:01) Vel: and team with C++ programmers e.t.c
 (May 20, 17:01) Vel: 3 new zones, 3 new instances, levelcap 90 and own capital(huge m2) is more than 2.5k online ...
(May 20, 17:00) Vel: 4 new races in wow in russian private server = 2.5k online
(May 20, 16:59) Vel: (from donate)
(May 20, 16:59) Vel: I do not know how in Europe, but in runet 600 online in private server = 3.2k euro per month
(May 20, 16:58) fellfoxen2: Project owner must be quite.. wealthy? xD
(May 20, 16:58) Vel: And he went with my friend in another project team.
 (May 20, 16:58) fellfoxen2: ...wut O_O
(May 20, 16:58) Vel: me offered to pay 7000 € for my work, but I refused
 (May 20, 16:58) fellfoxen2: Ah. I understand your undying commitment now :D
(May 20, 16:57) Vel: Actually I a member of the team. I will get % of donate
 (May 20, 16:56) Vel: but money:D
(May 20, 16:56) Vel: not fully my project
(May 20, 16:56) Vel: no, for otherlands
 (May 20, 16:56) Vel: thx
(May 20, 16:55) fellfoxen2: Me too. Is this all for Wargate?
(May 20, 16:55) Ascathos: I highly respect your work Vel. Like, really oO.
 (May 20, 16:55) fellfoxen2:D
 (May 20, 16:54) Vel: doodads pack 2\3: http://imagr.eu/up/4fb9057a1b7fb4_cityplatform.png
(May 20, 16:54) Vel: ..In world communism!
 (May 20, 16:53) Ascathos: ... to the Nightmare :>
(May 20, 16:52) Ascathos: Hello and Welcome.
 (May 20, 16:21) Shadowjesper1: Hello.
(May 20, 15:14) Steff: There are no ranks.
(May 20, 15:13) Steff: We only give rank an the way you act here on the board and the stuff your creat.
(May 20, 13:43) Zim4ik: hell yeah, get working greyscale from mop
(May 20, 13:22) xFivestarr: thank you once again for all this ^^
 (May 20, 13:21) Zim4ik: !no!
 (May 20, 13:19) xFivestarr: thanks, ca i give u +rep somehow ? :D
(May 20, 13:18) Zim4ik: yes. Reload map or restart noggit
(May 20, 13:17) xFivestarr: is it normal ?
(May 20, 13:17) xFivestarr: i have a little little problem, i imported some doodads, everything just ok, but when i save file once, i cannot move the object then
(May 20, 13:17) Soldan: Thanks, and replied again :3 :P
 (May 20, 13:16) Zim4ik: ?
 (May 20, 13:15) xFivestarr: Zim4ik ?
 (May 20, 13:06) Zim4ik: replyed
(May 20, 13:05) Soldan: Zim4ik, did you get my PM I sent a few days ago?
(May 20, 13:02) xFivestarr: many many thanks sir !
(May 20, 12:59) xFivestarr: going to try it right now !
(May 20, 12:58) Zim4ik: in folder with noggit there is import.txt file. insert there fullname of mwo or m2 and serch in noggit for Copy from file func, or smth liek that
 (May 20, 12:54) xFivestarr: and can i ask you how ? ^^
 (May 20, 12:52) Zim4ik: noggit)
(May 20, 12:51) xFivestarr: ok guys, what tool do you use to spawn doodads and WMOs ?
(May 20, 12:47) schlumpf: As FuTa is based on Mjollna's library, which also supports cataclysm files, it might work out of the box or with minor adjustments.
(May 20, 12:47) Zim4ik: hey, guyz. Is there any way to export heighmap/alphamap from cata adts?
(May 20, 12:45) schlumpf: fellfoxen2: Conserved the post into Maruum forums.
(May 20, 12:41) xFivestarr: i have a little problem, i cant spawn doodads with Taliis, and when i try to do it old manually way, nothing happens after "loadinfo" :O how are you guys spawning doodads ?
(May 20, 12:36) xFivestarr: hello there
(May 20, 12:27) fellfoxen2: I agree with Schlumpf. Hope Steff notices the message below ^^
(May 20, 12:22) stoneharry: I'd be willing to host Maruum on my dedi (WoW takes no resources to run really at all) if you wanted it.
(May 20, 12:04) longkallsong: Schlump got a point there
(May 20, 11:41) schlumpf: The thing done wrong with Maruum as a "everyone contributes, it only grows when people contribute" is, that the development is held classically, holding back changes up to a point where it seems to be "done" and in the meantime, only contributors are allowed access (while I haven't really seen any information for access on internal forums, which is.. bad?). This project does really need a real collaborative way of development, not sending patches to Steff and he puzzles them together at "some point". It needs a public server, public for everyone. An automatic downloading patch upon login with the current state and a state being able to be modified by everyone in the project. That way, one could right away see what has changed, rather than looking at screenshots. Also, people might get interested in it from just walking around there. Then it also needs easy access to joining the contributors, as I guess, there are people who walk around and get an idea for some quest or something and would just implement it right away. If that was possible. Also: Spawning NPCs right from in game, with full creation of additional information like display id, stats etc, to not rely on previous done edits. Point is: Do NOT develop a project meant to be open to everyone with a private group of people having access. That's just the wrong way. In five years, when someone decides that the ADTs are finished, nobody fucking cares about it. Nobody.
(May 20, 10:08) Steff: The opne a post and write there waht you did till now. logfiles of noggit. versions of all apps U used and what exactly ou did.
(May 20, 01:55) Sternenglanz: Hello, is anyone willing to help me? I'm trying to creat a new continent but I'm failing. I can't open it in Noggit.
(May 20, 01:27) stoneharry: nn, Vel. Dunno' why I am up myself, it's 00:27.
 (May 20, 01:26) Vel: gn
(May 20, 01:25) fellfoxen2: I kinda did - I used CMake to generate ArcEmu and selected VS10 (after uninstalling VS11) and the projects are still the wrong version.
(May 20, 01:25) Vel: It is not in a bad relationship to other ideas. Just pragmatism. There are idealists who are willing to work only on inspiration. In most cases, their ideas are too big to be Completed. I do not take them seriously.
 (May 20, 01:24) fellfoxen2: Yeah
(May 20, 01:24) stoneharry: That's why coding projects use cmake. :p It lets you generate the project for your version instead of having to use what they require.
(May 20, 01:23) stoneharry: When you save a VS project, each file is different for each studio version. You will need to convert it to a different version, which is hard and buggy. Better to create a new project and copy the code in.
(May 20, 01:22) fellfoxen2: Shamefully I've screwed up my Visual Studio. I installed VS11 and then uninstalled it, but for some reason my .vcproxj files are still the wrong version. >.<
(May 20, 01:22) stoneharry: That (http://pastebin.com/CnTLPr00) compared with prison break (http://pastebin.com/ArVD2g8w)... well you can see the quality difference.
(May 20, 01:21) stoneharryhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS4tJ2x5 ... ature=plcp This one is quite well scripted, if I can say so myself. :) Quite happy with it.
(May 20, 01:20) fellfoxen2: Oh. I guess I have a lot to learn then. xD
(May 20, 01:19) stoneharry: No, no it wasn't. Prison break was really, really badly scripted. It was more of a concept put together in a couple of days development, to be publicised and hopefully gain more hits for the emu section on mmowned. :p
(May 20, 01:18) fellfoxen2: Nice btw. I also remember playing Prison Break. That was some badass scripting.
(May 20, 01:18) fellfoxen2: I also agree - a lot of people here seem ignorant of other people's ideas.
(May 20, 01:17) stoneharry: chaoticunited, since it became a part of my gaming network
(May 20, 01:16) fellfoxen2: Ah. Forgot what it was renamed to. xD
(May 20, 01:16) stoneharry: I am still working on it, though the project was renamed, fellfoxen.
(May 20, 01:16) stoneharry: The general problem with the ME community is there are too many lone-man jobs and skills going to waste as people want to implement their own ideas and not work together. That, combined with a lack of actual emulator knowledge = a doomed project.
(May 20, 01:16) fellfoxen2: I remember testing out your Kronos project dude. Are you still working on that or is it dead?
(May 20, 01:15) stoneharry: I've been working on my server for 2 years (since patch 3.0.9) and still work on it.
(May 20, 01:09) fellfoxen2: On that note - Chronicles of Azeroth was quite close to completion :/ I think it went down due to server unreliability, which is a massively annoying issue when trying to host a project. It's happened with Maruum before and will probably happen again.
(May 20, 01:08) fellfoxen2: True. If I ever see a completed project; I'll ask to join their team to help them out with updates. :D
(May 20, 00:58) Vel: No matter how "great" project may be, it is nothing - if it was not completed
(May 20, 00:54) fellfoxen2: I used to work on a massive project (custom expansion) but I knew I'd be working for ages with little progress. So I shortened it down to one goal: completely rewrite the quests of the old world and update them slightly to fit a timeline set 3 years after the conquest of Northrend. I expect it to never be finished. I haven't even started rewriting any quests yet due to errors on my part. It's a shame to realise that most massive Wow projects end up motionless. :/
(May 20, 00:48) fellfoxen2: Maruum is essentially a project where everyone contributes, so that may be a reason why it has progressed so little due to lack of contribution in the past. Still; I agree with you. Maruum is a massive space to fill.
(May 20, 00:46) Vel: I promised to give Evilcactus for maruum, and I will keep a promise when it is finished.
(May 20, 00:44) Vel: Now I get paid for my work. (a big project with investor). I no longer believe in the enthusiasm.
(May 20, 00:43) Vel: I do not believe that Maruum will be released sometime in the future. In 2009-2010 I made my first project "wargate". They planned to 8 zones. A year of hard work I have done only 3 zones. Since then, I do not plan big projects. Maruum was started in 2009 - now 2012, and you have done too little. How many more years do you need? ...
(May 19, 23:45) Steff: Yes good athmo :) We can use/need everything for maruum.
(May 19, 22:10) Velhttp://imagr.eu/up/4fb7fe09c63938_Statuebetatesting.png first custom doodads pack test 1\3
(May 19, 21:34) schlumpf: Supora: Actually, quadruple.
(May 19, 21:33) Supora: triplepost schlumpf
(May 19, 20:44) Eluo: thanks schlumpf!
(May 19, 20:44) Eluo: every tree is made with those two models
(May 19, 20:43) schlumpf: Eluo: I made one for each.
(May 19, 20:42) Eluo: ty but it was just a terrain test... i made this in 1 hour the only tricky thing were the trees as i found no fitting ones, i just made my own ones :D http://imagr.eu/up/4fb7e96e8c9fc3_Unbenannt-1.jpg
 (May 19, 20:35) Vel: 3.6\5.0
(May 19, 20:34) Eluo: steff: http://imagr.eu/up/4fb7e755166363_WoWSc ... 203150.jpg could you use sth like that for maruum?
(May 19, 20:33) Eluo: nice schlumpf but wouldnt a new thread be better? :D
(May 19, 20:11) schlumpf: Happy tutorial day. Enjoy. viewtopic.php?p=11734#p11734 (On Steff's request.)
 (May 19, 19:57) Steff: NP
(May 19, 19:57) Eluo: ty steff
 (May 19, 19:47) Steff: @xFivestarr
(May 19, 19:47) Steff: Why no just use the ADT editor Noggit3?
(May 19, 19:44) Eluo: steff could you reup the groundeffects.exe from schlumpf?
(May 19, 19:41) TheBuG: I'll do some tries.
(May 19, 19:40) TheBuG: Hmm, not a bad idea
(May 19, 19:38) schlumpf: Use northrend style human textures. They are way better. Or Cataclysm+ ones.
(May 19, 19:18) TheBuG: I thought of using the classic human architecture (http://is.gd/AaQTfh), but it's overused imo.
(May 19, 19:17) TheBuG: Anyone have any idea what textures to use for the following custom model. I'm basing the rest of it on this one (yes, it's a simple door, but still.) http://is.gd/FZxgY7
(May 19, 18:53) Will: Looking for help getting cata/mop tex adts to wotlk adts.. Will pay good usd for it
(May 19, 17:41) xFivestarr: anyone out there ?
(May 19, 17:06) xFivestarr: i want to spawn some doodads so i think i have to do it old manual way
(May 19, 16:39) Ascathos: If you created the adts without any custom patches plaguing your data folder, etc., you should be able to simply add them into a MPQ and load them up.
(May 19, 16:11) xFivestarr: so what program i should use to open adt ?
(May 19, 16:09) Ascathos: Oh, and I hate M2 editing. Blender's plugin is not working, i find no tool, the particle editor won't load, PyModelEditor is not working for me... damn it o,o. /rage.
(May 19, 16:08) Ascathos: Taliis is quite old and it's most likely not working for most adts anymore. It works without it, though.
(May 19, 16:07) xFivestarr: i can create them but i cant load them up then...
(May 19, 16:06) xFivestarr: i have a little problem, when i open adt file in Taliis, nothing happens
 (May 19, 16:04) xFivestarr: anyone here ?
(May 19, 16:02) xFivestarr: Hi there
(May 19, 14:46) Soldan: Entering the Area
(May 19, 14:45) Ascathos: Do you want the Achievement to proc on teleport or on entering the area ?
(May 19, 14:20) Soldan: On the boat where you start : http://tinyurl.com/c52bs6m And once you teleport to the City; http://tinyurl.com/d2xtynz
(May 19, 14:04) Soldan: The only thing is, the achievement doesn't complete..
(May 19, 14:04) Soldan: I've got all the files modified, and added ingame
(May 19, 14:04) Soldan: Argh, anyone managed to get custom Achievements into the game? Like, "Welcome to your custom city" and it completes it if you to to that city?
(May 19, 11:03) schlumpf: Rosa: Most of the programs are open source. Just compile them.
(May 19, 11:03) schlumpf: Rosa: Noggit is open source. Just compile it.
 (May 19, 10:25) Zim4ik: !NO! /e pirate say's
 (May 19, 10:04) Steff: @Rosa... buy windows ;)
(May 19, 10:04) Steff: I develop noggit now since release of win 7 64 on this OS. No problem. Most time its just a configuration problem, wrong wow version or corrupted custom patches or files in the project folder.
(May 19, 09:40) Rosa: Trying to wrap my head around getting even a quarter of these programs to work on a linux distro
(May 19, 09:38) Chrispee: Hi all how u doin ?
 (May 19, 08:56) Zim4ik: i got 64, all is ok
(May 19, 03:18) Will: works perfectly
 (May 19, 03:18) Will: nope
(May 19, 02:32) phucko1: Anyone had similiar problem?
(May 19, 02:32) phucko1: Hmm ever since I got 64-bits windows 7 my noggit refuses to work.
 (May 19, 01:11) Steff: Cool.
(May 19, 00:11) Vel: yes inside
(May 19, 00:08) Vel: about 15-25% from cata\mop (mainly uldum)
(May 19, 00:06) Vel: 50-70% doodads made by me
(May 19, 00:06) Vel: I will not use WMos in my own continent
